Mit 370.000 L$, eines der höchsten Preisgelder, das jemals in Second Life® verliehen wurde, kommt der MACHINIMA AWARD 2009 in die vorletzte Phase.
48 Machinima-Produzenten wurden für den AWARD zugelassen und haben ihre Filme eingereicht. Das Reportoire reicht von herzerweichenden Liebesgeschichten, unglaublichen Kunstprojekten, sowie witzigen Episoden bis hin zu lustigen Musik Clips. Außerdem werden merkwürdige Geschichten erzählt und bemerkenswerte Newcomer berichteten von ihren Anfängen.
Aus allen Teilnehmern werden ab dem 1. Oktober die besten 3 Machinimas für jede Kategorie (ART, DRAMA, FUN, LOVE, NEWBIE) mit einem online-voting system ausgewählt.
Ab dem 12. bis 16. Oktober kann dann auch jeder Second Life® User inworld für seinen Favoriten stimmen.
Anschließend findet am 17.10. um 19 Uhr bzw. 10 a.m. SLT die Abschlusszeremonie sowie Preisverleihung in newBERLIN in Second Life® statt. Als Sponsor des MACHINIMA AWARD 2009 lädt YOUin3D.com GmbH und Cisko Vandeverre Interessierte zu einer Live-Übertragung der Second Life®-Veranstaltung in ihre Räumlichkeiten ein.

48 Machinima Producers have entered their Films in the Competition. Subject categories include heartbreaking love stories, beautiful and amazing art films, witty comedies and music clips, and powerful dramatic storytelling. Notable newcomers show their first films.
From October 1 through October 11 the three best Films in each category (ART, DRAMA, FUN, LOVE, NEWBIE) will be chosen through the MACHINIMA ARTIST GUILD (M.A.G.) with an online voting system.
From October 12 through October 16 the final voting is open to all Second Life® users to vote for their favorite Film within each category.
The Award Presentation takes place October 17 in newBERLIN in Second Life® (19:00 GMT / 10am SLT).
At the same time interested people are invited to join the live broadcast of the Event with Cisko Vandeverre and YOUin3D.com, two of the Award Sponsors, in their RL Studios in Berlin.
